You might want to back this point up. I highly doubt this is an accurate statement. If it is, I apologize in advance. However, I have learned/been taught something that totally contradicts this statement

This is where I stopped reading and completely ignored the rest. 1) It is an extreme, gross over generalization. 2) I am conservative. Most of my friends and colleagues are conservative. Not one of has ever made this statement or believes what you accuse us of believing.
