I've had 3 migraines over the past 4 years. Mostly of the optical type, flashing lights in one eye, or a blind spot followed by a painful headach. The last one I had was scary, thought I was having a stroke. Nothing like losing most of your vision in one eye for a few minutes to freak you out. I believe mine are casued by too much caffeine. They have all occured within an hour of drinking too much coffee or cokes. My father gets them from eating raw onions. I still drink cokes, but in moderation.
