Hypothetically speaking....
if in 2 years we are in a true mess and Bush's policies have downhill are you still going to be as fervent about him?
If in 2 years Bush's policies have helped America economically, on a world opinion basis and in the war front comeback are you Kerry supporters going to admit you were wrong?
(I have said I will in a previous thread.)
If in 2 years Kerry has turned around things in Iraq, (less money being spent there more allies, Iraq rebuilding faster and safer) and all is running smoothly no terrorism, strong economy and so on will you Bush supporters admit you were wrong?
If in 2 years Kerry has made things worse (Iraq is a mess, economy is terrible, inflation, unemployment rates high) will you Kerry supporters still be saying "better than Bush"?
(If that were to happen, I would probably be thinking maybe Bush could have done better. But, it truly depends on what Kerry has done and if the GOP has let him do his job or played politics and didn't let him do anything.)
Just a hypothetical to see if you care more about the country or more about being right.
Not trying to be a smartass or start anything, just want to believe we are all Americans and can put politics aside if the other party does a better job than we thought. Part of me says we can put politics aside and work with each other. Part of me, though, believes that the partisan divide has become so great, that no matter who wins 1/2 the country is going to want everything going to Hell just so they can say they were right and the decline in the country will be faster and harsher than it ever has.

My response is, "I like to put forks in an eletrical socket, just LOVE that feeling, can't ever get enough of it, so will you let me put this copper fork in that electric socket?"
