Goddammit, there goes the fucking planet.
Leave it to the U.S. Government to not be satisfied with the most powerful weapons ever made, now they want some of the most powerful weapons that can be made.
And with how well the government seems to do advanced techs(NASA) they'll probably forget a conversion and blow the planet out of orbit.
