Having your hat backwards can mean a few things, you like the hat, but it doesn't suit you frontwards. It's damn windy outside and you need some aerodynamics to cut through the wind (speed walking, oh yes!... or not), but seriously, either way isn't a problem. It's usually how you compose yourself as a person with the hat, that's when it takes any effect.
Usually hats for guys are psychological comforters, similar to what long hair is to girls. So whatever, wear your hat how you want.
Except for those upside-down, backwards golf hats... you look likea flower vase.
