I'm soon to go to pre-med school, and I'm appalled at that statement! What kind of doctor would compromise his patient's well-being during future childbirths for some extra money! Doing so would probably cost great pain to that women in the future (if she is to have anoter childbirth, unless tissue that isn't previously injured doesn't scar up after stitching... I don't know yet; I'm not a doctor...
)
And if she notices (she probably would! After all, she's had her body all her life, and she'd probably notice even a small difference.), she might go and complain to the hospital manager/file a lawsuit, and the doctor in question would lose his/her job and/or medical license!
