I may be wrong, but I don't think money will be the deciding factor in the outcome of this war in Iraq. An enormous amount is riding on 2 things: a) how effective the newly trained Iraqi Security Forces will be (
and they recently performed very well in Samarra) and, b) whether elections take place successfully in January as scheduled.

Well, I may be wrong again, but this is a regional war, not a world war. US resources aren't at maximum or near so. Capital going into Iraq will only rise. But, indeed, something unforseeable could always happen.
