Absolutely. The teams of that era, I'm sorry to say, wouldn't do very well today. Limited entirely to white Americans - no blacks, no Japanese, no Dominicans or other central Americans, pitchers who threw tired and sore all the time and who threw a much smaller variety of pitches than they do today. Sisler's record was impressive for its time and its longevity. Suzuki's is also impressive for its time.
