If you look at a light, or you let light shine in your eyes and you move your head around so that the angle the light is entering your cornea changes.

Then, you look at something white, or you can look at something very dark/black even. It leaves a temporary burn on your retina that will cause a figure of normally green color to show. But why you would both see it boggles me.
