Konami announced that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will have a new "Monkey & Snake" game mode in which Solid Snake will battle the monkeys from Sony's Sarugetchu / Ape Escape. In this game mode Snake receives a request from the radio, commanding him to capture all the monkeys in the stage.
Kojima also mentioned at TGS that he is a big fan of Sarugetchu (Ape Escape). The reason to put the monkeys in the game is because Konami and Sony have reached an agreement so that Solid Snake can show up in the next Sarugetchu game, and in return the monkeys will appear in Metal Gear Solid 3 as well.
