Thanks to the wonderful world of Atenolol (a synthetic, beta-1 selective, or cardioselective, adrenoreceptor blocking agent, may be chemically described as benzeneacetamide, 4-[2'-hydroxy-3'-[(-methylethyl)amino] propoxy], of course). My blood pressure was at one time about 135 to 140 over 65 because of a coarctation of the aorta repair. Now, because of the Atenolol I take every morning, I am at about 115 over 65 regularly. Go science! Boo God!
