Most good head units provide a pretty decent amount of power to the speakers to begin with - Kenwood, Pioneer, and Alpine run around 20-22 watts RMS (continuous) and 50 watts peak. You may want to look at the wattages on the speakers to see what their peak and RMS is... you may not even need that four channel amp if the RMS on your speakers is only around 20 or so.
If you DO decide to install the amp, and you're doing it all by yourself, I've got some hints that would make it much much easier on ya... but find out first how high the RMS rating is for the speakers.
