You seem impressed that their culture has lasted for a long time without math, when even a moments thought would remind you that there a millions of species of animals that have survived for as long or longer. While looking for something "revolutionary that is right under our noses every single day" you seem to have forgotten that reproduction does not require math or a complex culture.
We may be missing something fundamental about science/physics/mathematics, but these people are nothing special.
