It has been said that Chinese food and French food are the two best foods in the world, but I disgress... Every kind of cuisine is excellent, as long as it's made by a talented chef with good quality ingredients. I like all kinds of food: French, Chinese, Italian, German, British, Mexican, American, Vietnamese, African, Maroccan (couscous! yum!), and so on... Having a bias towards one kind of cuisine would be ignoring - and missing out on - the varieties of intricate foods from all over the world.
To the gentleman who said that British food is below boiled boot leather: Although I find your statement very funny, I must disagree with it. British food is very good, if it is made properly. Personally, I love sheperd's pie made with a tomato & wine sauce, nicely cooked ground lamb and freshly-made mashed potatoes topped with some good mozzarella and parmesan that is broiled to perfection. Mmm!
I also love Christmas fruitcake, and I've made it several times. It's very, very good and for me, Christmas wouldn't be the same without it.
