If you have the proper software. I don't know of any software out there that burns actual "movies" as in copywrited dvds, currently. I use an old version of DVD X copy (before they dumbed it down, no longer allowing burning of copywrite protected content). Of course you can use the multi-step method of ripping it onto your harddrive via decrypter or something and then copying it to disk. But yes most movies should fit on a dual layer disc with little or no compression.
However, dual layer media is too pricey to make it worth while, imo.
