To the best of my knowledge, I've never seen a pdf file that allowed input.
I believe when it says 'type' it actually means for you to type it in a typewriter. But you may have to go to a museum to find one.
BTW - off the subject but Adobe Reader has become nothing but bloatware. Started simple now takes too long to load, and it will only get worse.
