Of COURSE the coloseum is fucking ghetto--its in OAKLAND! Oakland fucking sucks unless you live in the hills. But what other stadium gives out tickets for 2 bucks (used to be 1 till my last year living in the bay), sells 1 dollar hotdogs, is accessable to those to broke to keep a car (read--ghetto, or in college), and does holds a team that does more with less than any other team in the majors on a consistent basis. The As aren't gonna win the WS this year without a hell of a lotta luck, but its sure fun to sit back and watch the Mets and other teams with huge payrolls struggle miserably. We'll add the Angels to that list if the As take em in the Head to Head series coming up.

I think Twins fans may take issue with the "do more with less" line. I mean they've at least made it to the ALCS during their run the last few years
. As for the whole payroll thing and the Angels potentially missing the playoffs, I think the A's are extremely lucky the Angels were so decimated with injuries in the first half. If the Angels are healthy all year, then one could argue that the Angels would be in the A's position right now with maybe a bigger lead. But, the A's are where they're at behind their great pitching and impecable timing. They start to run off the wins in August and September every year like clockwork and they deserve a ton of credit for that.
