yeah, the "tiers" discussion on those boards are always going nonstop. i guess there are tiers (for those lucky enough not to spend time on the gamefaqs boards: tiers are general stratifications of each character's abilities) but i've seen some people go crazy-go-nuts with characters i really really suck with. oh well.
i disagree though, i think there is a radical difference in the play style of the different characters. certainly more than i've found in virtua fighter or tekken. it's tough to just randomly press buttons and win in ssb:m... i like that.
