What a fabulous thread. It took quite a while to read it all. I haven't been to TFP in quite some time.
I've had countless paranormal experiences, but since they seem to be all around me and many of my friends and aquantances, I guess they seem ubernormal. I am glad there's a forum for people like us who can share some experiences that would generally be considered bizarre. Okay, here's a summary of a few of my stories.
I also felt myself levitating a couple of times when I was a teenager and simultaniously felt (not saw) a bright white light. This happened for only a few seconds and was trance-like.
My friend and I were visiting a chum at an all girl's school on the Isle of Wight in England. We were staying in one of the old dormitories that was empty except for a few bedrooms on the second floor which were used to accomodate parents and guests that were visiting students. This place was CREEPY and very old, in fact, the entire campus was swarming with spirits. (come to think of it, England seemed to have the buggers everywhere). We decided to just cool our jets in the room and not wander around this empty old house in the dark. We were jazzed though and ended up watching reports about the Gulf War on the tele (the 1st war). When the time difference was right my friend said he needed to call home and the only phone was on the other side of the house, down corridors and up stairwells. All pitch dark. He made me go with him because he was a pussy and thought a 5'3" 22 year old chick would protect him. I went willingly because the prospect of staying in the room alone didn't thrill me. We made the trek, cold spots, shadows, feelings of being watched....anyway, we made it. When we got back to our room, the people across the hall were being fairly loud. It sounded like they were having a party, drinking and chattering and the tle on really loud. Once we were in our room, we couldn't hear it anymore. Here's the punchline. We found out the next day that we were the only people staying in the dorm that night. Brrr....
I've got more for another day if this thread keeps going.
