Ahahaha... Nice

.
Hell, I can't even remember the last time I have ever used a spellchecker.
Ever since I started playing MUDs I have felt the need to type really well -
this usually translates, for me anyways, to speak really well too. I'm never
really over-ponderous, but I'm usually never light on words either.
I find it sad that even in most books that have been published after 1970
have simple, small paragraphs, simple writing, and hardly any eloquent prose.
Even history books written Pre-1900s have a good amount of prose to tell
the events taking place. It just seems that anything written today is geared
so that you only have to have an IQ of 20 and maybe a 3rd grade reading
level. It's pretty sickening. I was in an HONORS English program in my
senior year, and, not joking, half the people their couldn't even answer
the most remedial questions about books like 1984, or Brave New World,
among others.
People just don't seem to have a clue, nor even care for that matter.
