Freaky story... gave me shivers. I can feel that something really did happen to you that night. That was a very powerful experience you had. Yes the spirit world is real, and yes, a lot of them are not very nice. Demons, devils, ghosts, whatever, they can and will affect those that mess in their realms without proper defenses. Don't meddle in things you don't understand.
I sincerely hope that you and your g/f are alright, and that this melevolant spirit has ceased harrassing you. I would get rid of the board at the very least. and cleanse the house with a good smudging. There are things you can do, but they tend to only attract more attention. The best defense, of course, is to not practice.
