I dunno. Spike has come back from some pretty serious injuries. We've seen him 'die' pretty often actually.
-Balad of Fallen Angels: shot and thrown out the window
-Toys in the Attic: bitten by strange creature
-Pupiter Jazz part 1: Shot
-Peroot Le Fou: blown up by a missile or some other sort of explosive device
-The Real Folk Blues part 2: beaten, stabbed with thrown knife, cut in the leg with a katanaa, and what looks like a severe katana strike to the cheest or stomach
-Knockin on Heavens Door (Cowbebop Movie): compound broken sternum, shot through the chest, thrown from a tram or monorail from pretty high up, beaten badly, and exposed to a nanotech virus
This dude won't die!
They could bring him back no problem and explore some of Spike's past.
