I don't think that RSS should be handled by the browser directly; it just doesn't make sense to me. I use
Bloglines, which is free and web-based, so I can follow the same feeds from home or work.

After 1.0 is final, future upgrades are expected to maintain a profile properly. There have been some significant profile changes since 0.8, so I'm not surprised it borked on you.

If you don't want to wait, there's a workaround. Type 'about
:config' in your URLbar, and change the preference
app.extensions.version to
0.9.
