I love using a dutch oven to make bacon in the morning. layer a l package or 2 of bacon in the dutch oven. Make the 1st layer of the bacon facing the same direction then lay the next perpendicular to the previous making cross hatch layers. Pop it on the coals and cover the lid with coals. The bacon will cook in its own fat to perfection.
