I've been thinkin about this lately.. and it seems that once you get to a point where the govt VASTLY overpowers any individual, it becomes somewhat pointless. Seriously, 1000 people could have guns, but compared to how well trained our soldiers are and the technology and defense that the military has.. there's no standing up to them.
If the govt WANTED to, they could totally come out to the cities and "conquer" us.
