Ooh, ugh... I was on that for a few years. I bled about the amount you describe, and ended up quite anemic.
Some pharmacies sell over-the-counter
slow release iron tablets. These give you a good amount of iron
without making you vomit... but go to your doctor first to have some simple bloodwork done.
