Hmm, I'll put it like this:
Symphony of the Night > Circle of the Moon > Aria of Sorrow > Harmony of dissonance.
At least in my opinion... I really loved the card combination system in Circle of the Moon, but Aria of Sorrow has a cool little magic system where you can absorb enemies' powers and use them as sub-weapons. Since there aren't any sub weapons anymore (a.k.a. knife, holy water, boomerang cross, etc.), the enemy abilities pretty much replace the whole sub weapon thing. If you want to change enemy abilities, just go into the menu and pick an ability you've absorbed, and it tells how many hearts it takes when you use it.
It's a pretty cool game though.
