A cat is a clichéd example of an animal that considers itself above all other species and in many cases other cats. Cats have survived with little change for thousands of years, and their "culture" has remained fairly constant (eat, sleep, poop, glare at humans for existing).
Humans believe we are superior to cats.
Cats believe they are superior to humans.
This is not a stalemate, it is humans being right and cats being wrong. Their "culture" makes them less likely to survive hardship than humans, so it is inferior.
Do you truly think that the Piraha culture has the same survivability as the math-using majority? If not, you must admit that death = bad and their culture is inferior. Their values may be well and good, but the lack of a numerical system is clearly crippling.
