It is wet in Vancouver period..but over the mountains it is a little more wet than elsewhere. Of course that also means you don't have as much smog etc. There are also days where much of North Vancouver is actually above the low clouds and is sunny. Over all I'd say that it does tend to rain a little more but I wouldn't go so far as to say the weather is much worse than anywhere else in the lower mainland. I wonder if there is a website that has the stats for weather in the lower mainland...hmmm...
