Well my two cents is that it all depends on you. I do stock up on carbs the night before, but often on the day I cant eat anything remotely heavy. Depending on what time you play, i try to eat some fruit and alot of water in the 3hrs before kickoff. But thats just me. My advice is get to know your body. Its the same with exercise for me. My body needs to do an average 35 minute run each week to be able to compete well on the weekends, but my teammates are totally different.
