It depends on what time your game is. If your football game starts at 7pm like ours did that's a bad idea. By then your body will be running low on carbs from the day (dont underestimate how much energy warming up and the pregame adrenaline take up).
If available go off campus for lunch. If not use your intuition. As my coach often said "if it doesnt look healthy chances are it isnt."
I do suggest having a banana with your lunch btw, the potassium prevents cramps. Sorry I cant tell you what to eat for lunch, dont know what your cafeteria is like. So use your head. If you choose to eat the salads that's fine just pack a few energy bars with you and much on them throughout the day. These are loaded with complex carbs, not simple sugars so you shouldnt crash afterwards.
