as maleficent said, spiders are your friends. They just look creepy. They feed off other insects, such as mosquitoes, roaches, wasps and other nasty ass vermin. If you have a lot of spiders, they your room has plenty of spider "prey", so to speak. The spiders will take care of that. So doon't kill them: catch them in a glass, slide a postcard underneath, pick 'em up, and toss 'em out the window.
Most people have an unnatural aversion to spiders. And we're talking your average garden-variety spider, not fist sized tarantulas or black widows (those creep *me* out too!). I think the aversion is misplaced. Look at Spiderman: he's all good. There's no Roachman, Mosquitoman or Waspman.
