I have a Braun electric razor, and to be quite honest, I was a little diapointed in it's performance. It does a decent job on my chin and face, but under my jaw/chin and on my neck it does a horrible job. If I'm in a hurry I'll only use that, but if I have time, I usually just shave the old fashioned way. I've only used my Braun, so I can't comment on other electric razors.
