my downtime is under 2 minutes, so...I haven't really had a problem with that
and, my pc muscle is strong enough for me to squeeze and practically deflate my erection (in my experience anyways). It sounds like your perfectly normal. only a small number of people could probably KEEP an erection even after an orgasm. Even if you are like me with minimal downtime, it still does deflate to about half it's size before it starts recovering
