Eat breakfast on the Anglin Pier at the end of Commercial Blvd. Get there at 7:00 AM or expect long lines. Breakfast is cheap and good eating.
Drive up to Lighthouse Point and take the short ferry to Cap's Place for dinner. The food is to die for, I assure you.
For cheap lodging on the beach, you can't beat Howard Johnson on Ft. Lauderdale Beach. It's right across the street from the beach and usually is less than $60.00 a nite and the rooms are clean. Nice pool, also.
Check out the Riverwalk, downtown off of Las Olas. I go to Ft. Lauderdale at least once a month and I used to live over there, so if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
