My dream game:

Setting: A large, immersive, diverse fantasy world. Full of orcs, elves, wizards, castles, villages, strongholds and the like. A completely open world like that of Morrowind. Where you can go anywhere at any time.

Character Creation: I'd like to be able to choose from a wide range of races, without having preset stat levels (intelligence, strength, etc.) associated with race. Those would go along with what profession you choose. I believe the customization of your character is part of the fun, and the more unique you can make him/her the better.

Game Play: Now here's where I stray from your average fantasy MMORPG. I'd like it to be a 3rd person view. And I'd like the movement and action to be quick. Something like Devil May Cry, or Return of the King. Imagine being a magic user, running across a plain wile being chased by a giant. You're hurling fireballs and magic missiles. Dodging and rolling while the music hints at your impending doom. And absolutely NO TARGETING SYSTEM. You have to aim with your mouse! Targeting is lame. It takes out half the skill.

Story Line: Not sure about this. But something like Evil threatens Good. Good needs a hero. Good hero hunts down Evil and kills it. So I'm not a great story teller.... someone else could come up with that part.

Number of Players: I'd really like it to be limited multiplayer. Say 4 people max. So I guess it would have to be a single player game, with Lan capabilities, but the multiplayer COOP would be the sweetest. Now imagine you're that same magic user hurling firballs. You're running from that giant and you dive behind a wall for cover. Then you're evlen teamate jumps out and unleashes a flurry of arrows, and your fighter teamate hacks at his legs. See? Wouldn't that be cool? I've grown tired of Massively Multiplayer. Everything is too repetitive and you never really accomplish anything. And there are alot of stupid people that just annoy you in-game.

What would your dream game be like?
(p.s. if any programmers want to make my game, that'd be cool.)
(p.p.s. Doom 3 completely rocks.)
