I don't think it's uncommon at all to feel attracted to those closer to your own maturity level, in the city where I live the average maturity of others my own age is just sadistically low, meeting girls who aren't still walking around with a dominantly high school mentality is difficult, I've always been attracted to older women, and thankfully they reciprocate.
