To go back to the original topic, I think it's rather ludicrous that people should get offended over a request like that. Yes you're the YMCA, but they certainly shouldn't be vilified for requesting something. Rather than make a big deal of it it may have been easier to simply say "While we value your request, we can't do that. We're sorry." Money is no reason to give up values, and I think the President should have considered things a bit more before covering up the image of Christ, but I don't think the situation doesn't deserve the level of anger I'm experiencing here.
As for the words spoken at breakfast, at least we know that ignorance isn't colorblind.
