If I came off as a know it all, I apologize. I've only been into IDM for six months or so, and I still have a lot to learn. I have been checking out Planet-Mu lately too. Mu-ziq has had my ear a lot as of late, but not nearly enough as I've been listening to Geogaddi. Ae's Gantz Graf is one of my fave Ae albums. I will COMPLETELY agree that this will give the listener a headache. The last track is worse than all of Confield. I start gritting my teeth a few minutes into it. I need a cup of Gatorade after each listen.
I am in sheer amazement of Autechre. I like it so much because it (save for the early releases) pays heed to none of the defintions of what the world calls "music." It has no discernable rhythm, no set time scheme, or any of the other elements that other "musicians" adhere to. Needless to say, it is not for everyone.
