The college I go to (Tennessee Tech) actually has p2p blocked from accessing the internet, but there are programs known as lan crawlers that will search for shared files over the network. The down side is that there aren't as many files available, but the upside is that you are transferring the file over the network which means you can download an entire movie in less than two minutes on a 10/100 Mbps network connection. The crawler I use is known as MP3 Voyeur. If you do a yahoo search for it and just come up with porn sites, try switching the u and the e in voyeur, I can't really remember which way it is spelled right now. The program is free by the way. I don't think that the RIAA/MPAA watch for this program since it just scans over the LAN, but if anyone knows otherwise let me know.
If you can use p2p more power to you.
