We already have enough parking lots. I see no reason to abandon attempts at a peaceful solution. Carpet bombing a city may have been a viable option in wars past, but it's not in this one.
This is a war where we are trying to convince people that we are the good guys. We are trying to convince them that they are better off without Hussein. We are, if you will, trying to win their "hearts and minds." I really don't think that indiscriminately killing thousands of Iraqi civilians is a good way to accomplish that.
If our enemies want to negotiate a peace, I'm more than willing to at least hear what they have to say.
