I can dig what your saying about Belize City. I helped spend 'bout an half hour downtown searching for a battery pack for my compadres camera 31 minutes before they were to fly out to Ambergris Caye. What a third-world rush.
From what I understand Caye Culker is Hippie central.
we had to stop at Culker to pick someone up on the way to Ambergris Caye. I think that their backback was filled with cannabis.
If you get the opporitunity, shrubbery...check out the country.
I don't agree with the last part of your response. I found everything from beer and rum (carribean) to furniture (hardwood teak) to be very inexpensive.
