It is pretty easy if you'd like to create a sijmple journalling system. A few pages of PERL or PHP would make it very easy for you to update.
Hrm, now that I remember: The first incarnation of my journal was a simple 300 line PERL script that grabbed text files from a directory, parsed them and displayed their contents within customizable templatese complete with variable substitution, very much like Bloxsom and Diary-X are like today.

Yeah, its not hard--I just finished writing one from scratch for a site. I would have had to rip apart anything that was pre-made anyways, so I decided to do it myself, and a simple one really isnt bad.
Ive heard of security problems with PHPNuke and PostNuke, but I dont know too much about either.
