ain't seen you in months
but you creep in my dreams
haven't heard your voice lately
although I still know the sound
run away from my dreams
much like you fled from my life
how could you take me for an imbecile
I wanted you for my wife
my trust you lost
when I saw all the signs
at night I sleep
to always find you waiting
just when I think I'm movin on
all my hopes are so high
subconsciously you stay
and attack me in my slumber
get away from my heart
please stray far from my eyes
don't talk to me too soon
with your life I hope you're well
searching for new love
knowing it cannot be rushed
at night I feel your touch
as it soothes my pain
always alone in these thoughts
knowing you can't think of me
you've left your love behind
why do I feel you in my dreams?
