I take cabs to the airport on a regular basis and they cost about CAN$40 and I usually add $3 or $4 to that... I think the $10 to $15 Maleificent tips is rather high...
I take cabs infrequently around the city... usually when I am late for something or my scooter breaks down... From work to home is about $18 to $20 and I will tip a couple of bucks... usually rounding up the change as well.
When it really comes down to it though I don't think I should have to tip a cabbie unless he is hauling baggage or getting me somewhere extra fast...
