Well, they were.
Knee-jerk? I don't think so. I believe everyone agrees that Bush is talking about lowering taxes, when the US has a massive deficit. What
should be happening, in my opinion, is
RAISING taxes for the ultra-rich, plugging loopholes and abandoning such nonesense as "trickle down" Reaganesque econominc nonesense.
Fostering debate doesn't mean you can't have an opinion.
And, finally, I've no problem in
restating my comment that I can't understand why his political and economic policies are so popular with about half of the population in America. In my opinion, they are demonstrably incorrect, misguided and in many cases downright dangerous.
