Don't get me wrong... I am not endorsing the system I've described. I am simply trying to understand Art's position.
I tend to agree with Art's take on Libertarianism above... Then again I am a Federalist at heart.
That said, while I agree that a certain level of "authoritarianism" is inherent in all systems I stand by my first statement that it is all in the balance between government controls and personal liberties (real or imagined).
