Calling Osama a good guy is absurd. But yeah, I definitely oppose the patriot act in its current form. It is
entirely too broad in scope. The idea is good, the implementation is horrible. Trading your liberty for a bit of protection is very shortsighted. If you want to bring terrorism into it, thats exactly what they want--get us to change our ways. Ben Franklin said it best: "He who would give up a little liberty in return for a little security deserves neither liberty nor security."

And todays Democrats really now have more of the core Republican beliefs than the Republicans themselves. Can we say smaller government? How about fiscal control? Whats your point?
