It's creeping me right the hell out, but I do agree with those who say the thrill diminishes when you can spot what's going to happen. There was a section down a dark and narrow hallway with a chaingun at the end, and I looked at it knowing as soon as I grabbed it all the walls were going to open and spill monsters at me. That said, the spider swarms are very effective at making me panic. Blasting three or four, running away from the remaining few while reloading across the narrow area and into another three, then turning to see a further handful clambering up onto the platform is horrifying. I agree with the flashlight issue, and I was extremely disappointed that mirrors don't reflect the flashlight correctly (i.e., light what's behind you) and there's lag in the reflection, and I can't see my feet, but that's all niggling shit. The game rocks me.
