well i've got mono. My gf doesn't because she's been away most of the summer, but I get to see her in about a week and a half. I started showing symptoms about 6 days ago. I really don't want to give her mono, but at the same time, I'd like to kiss her as soon as possible. I couldn't find anything on the net about how long i'm contagious and most of the symptoms don't all leave at the same time so I really don't know when i'm no longer contagious.
Another thing to note...I'm pretty sure i'd been carrying the virus before and it just acted up when I got burned out this summer (if you read
this thread, you probably could've predicted it). But if I had been carrying it before, that would mean she's been exposed as well. Now, is there a significant difference in being exposed to it in dormant form and active form? I guess I would think there is, but I really don't know.
last thing...is mono contagious through sex or oral sex?
